1) Counselling and Therapy works differently for different people hence the number of sessions taken for each one varies depending on the process and issues of the client.
2) There are times when counselling/ therapy needs to go hand in hand with medications. At such times, the client may be asked to seek help through any psychiatrist.
3) Counselling may also involve the use of psychometric evaluations/ testing; which may be recommended by the counsellor to be taken at extra cost to understand the client's issues better and help the client further. 4) The psychometric/psychological testing/ psycho-educational tests' results, clinical symptoms, judgement of the practitioner and other related test results only give a direction to the diagnosis. The scores of the test may also vary according to internal and external stimuli of the individual. 5) Counselling/Therapy sessions will be conducted through prior appointments only. 6) The client will be provided with a session slot with prior mutual consent of the provider and the client. The client is expected to stick to the time. 7) If the client is late for his appointment, the provider is not responsible for the impunctuality and the session slot will not be moved further unless the provider has an availability. 8) The provider is not responsible for any adverse actions or decisions taken by the client while or after therapy. 9) It is mandatory to pay the fees before or after the session, as per the charges discussed. 10) The confidentiality of the client shall be maintained by the provider throughout but can also be breached in cases of: (1)- a law order, (2)- risk of harm to the client or others &/or (3)- a child or adolescent clients. 11) At times, the provider may not be able to continue her counselling/therapy with the particular client hence, she may terminate the client's counselling/therapy without further notice & without providing a reason. At such times, the provider is not liable to refer the client to another provider (unless she wants to, out of her will). 12) Suicide Prevention Helplines are to be contacted in case the client feels suicidal.
